There s no getting around it, the number of people that attend your wedding will have the greatest impact on your wedding budget. The higher number of guests the more you will pay for food and drinks at the wedding reception. Think about it, if you re planning a 125 person wedding, and the average cost per head for food and drink is $75, then you ll be spending $9,375 on food alone (this doesn t include gratuity, taxes or server fees). So when trying to make wedding cost cuts consider only inviting the people who are important and involved in your life all the time. This can cut your number from 125 to 70 which will drop the cost of food significantly at your wedding reception
Which way do you go, whose side do you take, do you have to take sides? How bloody complicated does it have to be. In all honesty you ll probably know exactly what your parents want for you. Do you stand side by side with your future husband knowing full well that his ideas will be a complete antithesis to what your parents want or do you do what most people do and try and manipulate both sides so you can come up with acceptable common ground?
Statistically, the smallest percentage of weddings takes place in the month of January. The other winter months have higher percentages, but still come in far behind the summer months. Because of this, having a wedding in the winter may give you the best chance for originality. Snow covering anything automatically adds a layer of cozy and mystique to an image, and reflective ice will make your wedding more beautiful, and this can carry over to the wedding invitations you send out.
Go off after this and find some area where you can make the most of photographs of the bride alone and with the groom… ie by the bar, playing a fruit machine or a game of pool… anything a bit different. Believe me these shots work if done well!!!
