The reception of a beach wedding is preferably done at a local restaurant, villa or party location. The venue must be equipped so that the couple can play music and set up lights. By having a reception at another venue off the beach, it s much easier to have music, dancing, and a buffet. Plus, as the sun sets, often bugs can become a nuisance if you stay on the beach.
Before you reject those so-called cheesy group dances like the Chicken Dance or Hokey Pokey, remember that these dances may be the only opportunity some of your guests will have to get on the dance floor and have some fun. These specialty dances are frequently requested, are very popular with your youngest guests and often create some of the most memorable moments. These dances may not be at the top of your list, but let the DJ play them if your guests so request.
You need to take a step back and ask someone that s impartial and then listen to what they say regardless whether they agree with you or not. You can always find someone that will agree with you and take your side, that s not what you want or need. Usually someone you are paying will give it to you straight. There is nearly always an answer, sometimes it s just a little bit harder to find. You ve got to get back to the reason you are getting married and what really matters and use that as a starting point. Everything else isn t important as long as you are a team. If you can t agree on the wedding chances are you won t agree in life and you may as well cut your losses now.
Though in some cases it needs a bit of research, the difference is fairly obvious. Professional photographers speak from their quality of portfolio and websites. They will have a dozen of testimonials praising their contribution in the wedding. Most importantly, they will have a portfolio featuring at least a dozen clients. Once you see the photographs, you know who is a professional and who is an amateur.
